Wet Vs Dry Firewood???

Ive always burnt seasonedish logs free standing log oven. But last year received spitting logs with very little heat output. This year, I've now bought some logs from a company called White Horse Energy & awaiting delivery. When flicking through Youtube at work, as you do i found this Wet vs Dry video. 

Before receiving my first batch I was curious what others thought about burning dried wood & what wood type worked for them?

who would have thought drier wood burns better? That is a seriously amazing revelation, perhaps I will stop soaking mine in a bucket now before I put it in the oven.

This was actually the subject of my thesis in the final year of my degree at the ministry of the bloomin obvious.
