Evening all,
I’m looking to build a wood fired oven in my garden however my initial query is how close can the oven be to a wooden fence/flammable material?
I see lots of builds which are close to wooden fencing but would like some clarification before planning the build.
Thank you all.

Morning,
An insulated oven does not get hot enough to be a problem near a fence.
Even after hours of cooking, your should be able to comfortably put your hand on the dome of an oven that has been dried out properly.
The metal flu will usually get hot if it is not twin walled as will the air coming out the top so you don't want any overhanging trees - or temporary plastic gazebos - as I learned the hard way during my curing fires!
