Hi, I have a cheap metal 'pizza oven'/bbq/smoker (picture of similar attached). The fire is built on the bottom level and pizza cooked on the top. I know this isn't an ideal set up by any means, however its all I have and I want to make it slightly better. I plan to insulate the the sides and top in someway. Can anyone recommend what I should use to do this? Cheers

Following with interest as I’d like to do the same with a similar oven.
One thought I had was simply wool insulation like is used on brick overs, fixed with chicken wire. Won’t look great but may work?

I have this same oven and I find it very hard to regulate the heat.. like you have encountered it just loses heat too fast, and by the time Id cooked everyones pizzas I was absolutely starving! I thought I would chuck some wood in after we'd finished cooking and use it like a chimnea but the oven couldnt stand the heat generated and I ended up warping the top door!
