Hi all, first time posting on here so just a quick intro. Been wanting to build my own oven for quite a while but never had time... until now! So having gained the necessary permissions (the Missus), I’m keen to get on with it. I’ll be studying the forums and pestering for tips and advise as I’m not looking to reinvent the wheel. As a start point I need to make a base for the oven before deciding on a final model to build. I’m a carpenter/joiner, with a decent workshop so comfortable making forms or whatever’s needed to make a decent sized oven. I’ll post a picture of the style I would like so please let me know your thoughts. Thank you for your help in advance 🙂

Welcome to the site, you'll be given all the advice you need if you just ask. Before you start cutting wood it's worth noting that the cooking floor of your WFO should be at the elbow height of the main user; that'll give you a rough idea how tall your form needs to be.
