Hello, so after a major garden design at a new house I’ve decided to do something I’ve been talking about for years, build a pizza oven. The house is a stone cottage in West Cornwall which I extensively refurbished last year, this year I’ve been doing the garden. I’ve built a fairly large pergola construction over 1/3 of the garden and included a reinforced concrete topped ‘table’ on which to build the oven. I think I’d prefer a Napoli style oven with the flatter ceiling rather than the igloo type but this has thrown some issues up which I’m hoping I can find answers to here, there’s also the questions regarding materials of course. cheers Peter

Ask away, Napoli style ovens are rarer because they might not be as forgiving to build as a Pompeii, but the principals are the same.

Hi Pipes66 I’m new here also and looking to build a Napoli style oven. The Vesuvio on Forno Bravo’s site in what I’m looking to replicate. Bit ambitious but doable I hope. I live in Plymouth. What part of Cornwall are you. Regarding materials Kilnlinings.co.uk are good. Vitcus has a good range also but pricier.
