Hi Has any one used SBR in vcrete? Was trying to think if there would be any adverse effects on the insulation properties of the mix, I know SBR is a good for renders and screeds in adding strength, flexibility and waterproofing Any thoughts ? Chris

When i last worked our office was in Southwark Bridge Road and was universally known as SBR, quite what you are considering using in your oven is beyond me !

I won't be using Southwark Bridge Road in my oven, my gardens not big enough for that! Yes SBR bonding agent/admix Was thinking on the line that vcrete is a pain to use with so little cement, would the SBR make it more workable like it does for floor screeds and renders, also would the extra adhesiveness(if thats a word) help to hold it all together and also help stick it to the fire bricks, plus the added benefit of being a waterproofer to protect from the weather. But then I'm not sure how well it would hold up to heat if at all. Was just wondering if anyone ad used it before and if it worked.
