21" Cast Oven in Kent

Hi all. I'm planning to build a 21" homebrew cast dome oven with my son at his home in Kent (I live in Surrey). We're working to a tight budget but have plenty of spare bricks from an old wall for the base and I have bought 7m of 25mm ceramic blanket off eBay.

We are struggling to source firebricks locally though so if anyone has a supplier in the south east or even better some left overs we'd love to hear from you. As it's a cast dome, we only need about 20 for the cooking floor.

Try eBay or freecycle for storage heater blocks; excellent and cheap alternative.

Definitely agree with that, I've used storage heater bricks for mine which didn't cost very much (about £15 for about 45 of them) and have since seen people advertising them free! Certainly 'store' heat to the next day!

Search facebook marketplace for 'heater bricks' there are always some either cheap or free.
