Hi.
I've read lots and lots (on this forum and elsewhere) but please forgive me if the following questions / concerns have already been answered elsewhere.
1. I'm a bit concerned about a wooden sleeper plinth catching on fire (or at least smouldering away). I saw another post that said something like 'wooden plinth should be OK but ensure your base is well insulated', and I have seen photos of an oven where the outer edges of the oven definitely overlap the wood surround of the plinth and the author said it was OK; however, does anyone have any advice on a) whether there is a risk of the sleepers burning and b) how to minimise the risk of this happening
2. Do fire bricks contain any nasty chemicals / substances that might be harmful to health? Or are there any different kind of bricks that could be used that def. aren't harmful to health?
Many thanks for any guidance, much appreciated.
Dave
