Hi everyone I’m Stuart and a newbie I wondered wether someone could help or advise me, I have a pizza oven I bought a few years ago And have realised the floor doesn’t get hot enough Pizza never really cooked properly underneath no Charing etc At the moment the floor is your basic terracotta floor I’m guess just tiles but can’t see the thickness I would like to overlay on top of these with either brick or a made mixture what would any body advise many thanks Stuart from Herts

Fire bricks ideally. If you’re stuck for enough height then you can get slimmer ones. Will store less heat but better than what you have.
However are you sure it’s the issue. They should still get hot enough as they have a fire on top of them! Might not keep enough heat to cook many at a time but bearing in mine they should only be taking 60-90 seconds to cook it shouldn’t be a problem. Maybe you’re not leaving it long enough to get to temp? Do you have a surface temp checker so you know what the temp is you’re trying to cook at?
If you want to try something reversible then pick up a pizza cooking stone. And lay that in there first. See if you get better results.
