Next week is Real Bread Maker Week. To kick it off, the campaign has released this open letter to all current and budding breadmakers. Some of this stuff I've been banging on about for years - nice to see it get some official backing! nobreadisanisland.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/real-bread-campaign-real-bread-makers.htmlI know there are many Real Breadmakers on the board already - be nice to see some more! Chris, the Campaign manager (I think that's his title) was at the baking weekend last year - where he had his tent pinched - hope he's going to join us this year at Trefriw. Cheers, Paul [Edited to provide a working link - the first one failed, sorry.]

Thanks Paul for forwarding the post from Chris. He's doing a great job....and you btw.
On the BBC (food) message board you once created an interactive baking week-end where you gave a list of ingredients then a certain day (s) when a certain recipe would be baked. Everybody then participated using the forum to comment/ask on the different stages and the whole baking experience was a success. If you ever decide to do this again on perhaps Wildfood or Sakkarins forum or "no bread is an island" please let us know as I for one would love to participate.
Terry
It wasn't much above freezing when Chris's Tent was pinched. I was sleeping in the front of my small van at the time and said he could cwtch up to me for the night......he declined. Don't blame him!!!
