just by accident the other day I came across pav bread rolls. They are soft and buttery BUT if you follow the recipe i would cut down on the sugar as they were way too sweet. I split the batch in half and made normal soft rolls and then made chelsea buns with sundried toms, garlic and basil as the filling. Well worth trying !!! just google PAV or i can put the recipe here. I did take a photo with my ipad but I still cannot figure out how to get it on here ( dead easy to email it to someone though )

Love the sound of them and would like to have a go myself.

ipads are great for consuming media but awful at sharing it easily. This is the one area that regularly annoys my wife with hers. it is not impossible tho, the best way to get pictures from an iPad onto a forum is set up a Photobucket account and get their app. You can upload from the app or email the photos into the account and it will give you a link to copy and paste into your reply and viola the image will appear. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Xa_YBeqI54is a video how to use it. Once your photo is uploaded click the chain icon to get the html codes, you want to copy the one starting and paste that text in your reply where you want the image. You can copy as many links into a reply as you wish.

thanks will try that !! I am seriously into these little rolls and actually split yesterdays batch into two again except this time I stuffed half of them with a mushroom bhaji and used them to mop up a veg. curry . The second lot i made up as normal and today split them mashed up the veg curry a bit and made toasted buns with them ( paj bhajis) divine does not cover it asnd i wondered about flogging them alongside your pizzas etc. If you have not got electricity for an appliance you can get toasting irons that would go in the barbie . Recipe . 3 cups of bread flour ( I put 1/3 brioche flour in the second time which made them even lighter) 2 1/4 tsp yeast
1/4 cup water 1 1/4 cups of milk ( you can add a beaten egg and just use 1 cup) 3 tbsp butter melted in the milk 2 teasp sugar ( I found this way to sweet so only used a scant 1 ) teasp salt I flavoured the dough yesterday with garlic as well.
make as you woud normal maKE bread and place in a tray to bun up . got the recipe from chefsyou.com recipe first
