Def not a WFO question but my very hard working big easy charbroil BBQ of 12years is giving up the ghost. I have been looking at the Swiss grill or leisure grill stream , has any one out there got a favourite?

I do love the chunky stainless look of swiss grill, I suspect all the real premium grills will last well so probably down to design and practicality to your own need.

Hi rivergirl
Can't comment on the Swiss Grill from experience but they look very good. I would have to suggest going old school and getting a Webber charcoal BBQ too if finances allow.
You mention that you cold smoke in the gas BBQ, I'd be very interested in how you set it up for that?

Had a look round the swiss grill reseller at the Isle of Wight Garlic festival last year, very impressed with the quality and not massively more expensive than the equivalent b and q stainless ones.

IT was just a 10£ experiment but it seems to be working. We put an alu tube and drilled loads of holes at either end. Bought a small wooden Cupboard drilled a hole in the side and placed it next to the Barrie. . I hot smoke by putting wood shavings into a choc tin directly over the burner(I started out by using tinfoil packets) the smoke then goes up the pipe but not all of it!! It's very makeshift but it works.i could email someone a photo if you wanted and perhaps they could put it on site.
