I was very impressed with the overall production value. The proof will be in the tasting / eating but its a very nice book to have on the shelf regardless.

I had some fun yesterday doing some bread , t bone , potatoes , rosted tomatoes , T bone ready for the oven , seasoned and oiled Befor it was seasoned Tomatoes ready for oven , Red onions on bottom toms on Tom and covered in a olive oil paste ( oil , salt , ground black pepper , Italian herbs mixed . For the potatoes I had to buy a new cast iron pan , I bought a de-buyer ( French pan ) , deBuyer Mineral deBuyer Mineral collection is guaranteed to come without any coating and no chemicals added. Mineral is ennvironmentally safe product and ironmolecules from the pan contribute to good health. Utilising deBuyers authentic Lyonnaise design the more the pan is used, the better the performance. The darker it becomes the better it is for natural nonstick properties. Mineral reaches high temperature making it perfect for SEALING, BROWNING and GRILLING. Perfect for all heat sources including INDUCTION, each pan has Riveted steel strip handles , this is a brief description I found It was on the hob so I could season it . Meat in Toms done and potatoes Oh the potatoes where just in ol and herbs . I forgot to take a pic of the done steak ( to eager to eat em ) .and it was so good . I had a bit of a mare with the bread , started to burn on top , so I moved it to a cooler place , but I couldn't seem get it cooked fully . It stayed a bit doughy ( we still ate it ) . .

I must look for that book, I am doing a one pot todayI layer a lidded dish with veggies starting with onions (if they catch they just go caramelised) then layer on up , today it's pots, swede, carrots, sweet pots each layer seasoned and a sprinkling of garlic, ii then fry my meat up remove from pan add onions and garlic and put on the top of the veggies, deglaze the pan with stock and pour over the veg. Lid tight on And left to bubble away, the bread is a rustic wholemeal with chopped nuts and some apple. I will put the pics on my Facebook page.
