I'm thinking of cladding my oven in these bricks to make more pleasing to the eye ,
Has anyone used / done this befor .
I just think it would look smart, brick dome as opposed to a rendered Finnish

Cec .....Relating this question to your oven... I presume you are talking about the dome?....if so the brick slips would be far to wide unless you cut them down to half-brick size, so as the back of the brick slip has at least 90% contact with the dome. I have also seen some snazzy mosaics laid in this fashion. As long as the insulation has been correctly applied and the outer surface of your oven is no more than warm when fully fired, you could use full flexible floor tile adhesive to fix them. Terry p.s......Cec. Your build has been fascinating to follow. Have you thought about making an album and putting it in your profile?.....or simply add a link to your thread.
