Sorry to go over what is probably already old ground, but how much Vermiculite do you think i'll need for about 2-3" over a 36" Internal Pompeii dome?
36" Internal, 4" Brick, 1" Ceramic, 2" Rockwool, then Vermi.
Thanks!

Working on the basis that the oven is hemispherical, the volume of the vermicrete material is the difference in volume of 2 solid hemispheres where the smaller radius is the internal radius of the vermicrete and the larger is the external radius of the vermicrete. Using your figures above the smaller radius would be 58.42cm (easier to calc in cms) and the latter would be 63.42 (5cm thick ) or 65.92 (7.5cm thick) = 534L or 599l respectively.
Not sure what the packing density if vermicrete is in practice, but this means you are likely to need somewhere between 4-6 100L bags of vermiculite.
