I really like baking bread but find it goes off really quickly. I know this is because there are no added preserveatives in it. My question is this, after you have baked your 3 loaves of bread in your oven how do you keep them fresh? So by the time you get to the last loaf in a couple of days it is still remotely fresh.
I know cutting it stright out of the oven make it go off quicker and putting in the fridge does the same. Currently I just put them in a sealed plastic food bag.
What do you all do?

Bake daily, using the converted gas to wood fired oven. A loaf cooks on a handful of sticks.

Same as you ss. Sourdough loaves will last 4-5 days like this.

I bake as I need it BUT !!!! if you need to refresh a whole stale loaf , dowse it quickly in water and put it back into the oven , it comes out crisp and new !!!!! works for baguettes and rolls as well

Freeze it - even if it's only for a day. I've been doing this for years and have not had a problem, if you let the bread thaw out naturally you can't tell it's been frozen, especially if you have pushed all the air out of the bag before you freeze it, and then don't open the bag again until it's defrosted. I have several Zip Lock bags that have been in use for an age.

put a spoon of vinigar in the mix, you won't taste it but the bread will last a lot longer apparently. An age old trick

Use a natural leaven (sourdough). Bread stays edible for 3 to 4 days and is still good as toast after 7 days! It also tastes great!

eat it all nom nom nom. I think I will have to freeze or just give the overs away to friends or neighbors .
