itching to render the dome now but I scraped some vemicrete off that was over the brickwork so messy, this was still wet inside. I assume I should dry this out as much as possible before sealing it with render.
I fired the oven gingerly for 5/6 hours today, quite hard to keep it going low but well enough to minimise smoke, failed a bit there but it was not so bad.
with all this rain the tarp is over it all the time, but assuming dry days what sort of timeframe to dry it out? Will firing help as it only got slightly warm on the outside today. I suppose I can blast it a bit more next time as am pretty sure the brick side is dry now with this fire and the month or so since it topped out.
someone on fb said to wait till fired 10 times till render!!

I've just finished my vermicrete today and was wondering the same thing Turkey. Reading your post, I guess I fire a good few times before rendering so that as much water as posible can come out of the oven before sealing it in with the render layer. I need to wait for my arch to cure fully, and I also need to finda chimney. Looks like I'd better take a look for one as soon as possible.
