I bought a set of 4 tools from Terracotta Warehouse: www.terracottawarehouse.co.uk/woodburningpizzaovens.htmlNot cheap but works a lot better than my original 'home-made' equipment comprising garden rake and natural bristle bush. 2 peels are useful, I usually make the pizza on the larger peel and organise someone else to do the pizza turning with the smaller peel. Not really a lot to say about the equipment, I've used aluminium and SS peels and both worked. The natural bristle brush obviously gradually burns away particularly if you leave it in the wfo The curved solid rake works really well in comparison to a normal garden rake. Having said all that, the home-made tools will do an adequate job for anyone working to a tight budget.

Tony B/Turkey One of our members have just turned out some brilliant Pizza paddles.....I can't remember who.....but they were quality. For the last 18 months I have been plagued with Outdoor cooking accessory companies wanting to link a "shop" of pizza peels etc to our forum with really good prices .......it's a commercial step for me but we would have the best prices available on the http://www.........I have shy'd away from these offers so far........perhaps I shouldn't as we ........as a forum would probably get the best deals available..... The Jewson discount deal seems to be working for us......and definately for them......Mmmmm food for thought. Terry

I bought the Terracotta Warehouse 1.3m peel and the curved rake. The rake is ok but not as robust as it could where the rake joins the handle. I also bought a wooden peel off ebay, as I use the wooden one to put the pizzas in the oven and the steel one to take the pizzas out

Terry, I've no real problem with the forum linking to one or more accessory shops provided that it isn't an endorsement, other than through comments on quality/price form (dis)satisfied 'customers and willing to bear the feedback

I feel the same as tonyb - as long as we don't get spammed by them, I can't see it is any different than the advert from Kiln Linings, which is there but isn't intrusive.

The paddles Terry referred to were mine I think. Their shape was based on the aluminium peels that I bought from Amazon - I have two of the same make, different sizes, from two different suppliers. Just search Amazon for "pizza peel" and there's a big choice at very reasonable prices.

Mark
I will be soon starting to expand...or create a better website for myself. Tony B and Faz are quite right in not wanting the forum to be used for commercial use. Liam's logo is helping me out financially for the ad free for members and also slipping me a few cider tokens in the process.
Please don't hang up your carpentry tools as I love those pizza paddles.
Anything i do outside the forum wont compromise the non commercial status quo of the forum.
