Greetings folks, Just a rather quick hello! Having been a keen home baker of bread for quite a while, Ive been tempted into building a clay oven a la River Cottage style. A possible rearrangement of the garden might provide the location, and with any luck I'll be able to start later on this summer (?) once a few other things are out of the way. Only things I have to work out in my head are the base, sourcing the clay and bricks. So, not much then, eh? There seems to be a wealth of both info and helpful folk on this forum, so with any luck I'll be baking outdoor bread in a few months time.
Cheers. Adam

HI Adam, the clay ovens look a lot of fun to build and really earthy and green We have many examples of bases on the forum (and many more on the old one, register to see photos) from which to take inspiration both from a design and a cost front. Cant wait to hear some of the ideas and the see some graft

Hello Adam....welcome aboard.
....Another Clay oven, brilliant!!. There's quite a few people on the forum about to build a clay oven......I think the inclement weather might have delayed them. Still, it's got to stop raining one of these days.
