not sure links to images from google's image cache are going to be easy to do.
If you go to google images and search for flue flashing you will get a good idea of what is needed. I am not sure how you would go a bout making it yourself if you did not want to purchase anything but it probably depends on your specific flue, if its insulated for example.

Thansk for advice, i shoiuld say that ive already looked into flashings and have an issue with the kind of temperture that they can handle, even high temperature silicon with stainless steel register plate only seem to be able to handle up to 250-300 degree c and my oven is reaching 800-900 internally. the one thing i havent tested is the heat coming out of chimney top, which i guess dissapates as it rises! so ill have a burn this weekend and measur heat at top and decide from there. Best type ive found so far is a flashing for a yurt, after seeing one at river cottage on a vist ealrier thsi year, with a huge wood burner in the middle, it gave me the idea that canvas shouldnt be so different from timber. so th short answer is that ive looked a lot but was more interested to see if any other clay oven builders had looked for a simialr solution. I plan to post story and pictures of build soon as soon as i get a spare day. cheers
