Greetings Fellow Pyromaniacs... I thought you may be interested in the oven that we built in our garden in France, it was a pre cast dome kit (100cm Cooking area) that we set into the brick fasade, which as you can see from photos grew to a lot bigger than we had first planned. Unfortunately I never thought to take many staged photos as it was going up so I dont have many of the actual build process. But it ended up about 2.5 Meters Tall with a slate roof and was fantastic to cook with. I say was, because we have just sold the house and moved back to the Isle of Man, where Iam currently between ovens! I hope to start building my next one in the next 6 - 12 months, although the next one will be a more practical size and less complex to build. I will however take more shots of the build and post them when I start. Thanks for a great forum and I look forward to posting and reading more soon! Martin Attachments:

Hello Martin......welcome to the forum. Looking forward to seeing pics of your oven in France, but my PC blocked me from opening your pdf?......if the "Choose file" button doesn't work you can also use the "insert image" icon (just above the angry smiley) and insert the url of your image(s) between the 2 brackets. Will you be getting another Modular oven or was you thinking of building your next oven yourself (Pompeii, Vault etc)? Terry

Hi Terry, Not sure what went wrong with the PDF So I will post the pictures separately. I would consider another modular oven as I had no problems with the one that I installed, they key was insulating it well with vermiculite in the housing and it would stay hot for a couple of days... If I had more spare time i may have a go at a Brick Built one, will keep you posted what I eventually go for. Will post some more photos in a short while. Cheers Martin Attachments:

That's some mighty fine brickwork on your oven.....It's a shame you have to leave it.
Terry

I used to live in Caerphilly, then Cardiff before the Isle of Man...
But didn't have a WBO then... Anyway, the Isle of Man is only 50 Miles from Anglesea, although its not quite South Wales!
Bye for now.
