But a tip for all those new to rebar mesh and disc grinders/cutters. Today I laid my base..............had the rebar mesh delivered and set about it with my newly purchased disc grinder/cutter. DO NOT touch the cut end of the rebar for some (loooooong) time after cutting cos it's rather hot (and that's putting it mildly!). ALSO do not touch the cut ends even when they are cold, the grinder leaves every cut end razor sharp - I only moved it 6 feet across the garden and cut myself 3 times and burned myself once.....I confess I swore a bit, well, quite a bit actually. Of course, had I worn the gloves that I had on the garden table ready for the job I'd be ok ! BIG BURN BLISTER - ouch!

We are all about sharing.....info, tips and experience!!!
To people like myself who have years of experience in the building trade, precautions are second nature. The reality is that most of our members or any other Wood-fired oven enthusiasts come from totally different backgrounds and trades/professions.
I appreciate you pointing this out to forum members.
