hi there,
I'm Samuel Angelo. I've been a chef for 15 years and have been baking delicious bread for my family on a weekly basis. I now want to start selling bread locally in my neighborhood and get information on how to build a wood fired oven. I'm happy I have joined you guys. I Thank you all in advance for all the information and experiences we'll be sharing. I am also grateful to the initiators of this forum and all who have participated to it before and made it what it is now.

you have a great plan ..... bake in your own WFO and sell great quality handmade bread locally - I like it very much !

Hello Samuel....welcome to the forum If you intend to sell bread on a small commercial scale, then a Barrel/Vault oven would perfectly suit your needs. There are quite a few Modular ovens on the market now at prices between £600 and £1000.....these should be avoided as the chimney is often wrongly placed for a "bread" oven and the insulation in these ovens are geared for "quick" fire-up times, so they also cool down quicker, unless a small fire is left at the rear and topped up as the temp cools....as in a pizza oven. You can build a Vault oven yourself which will function perfectly for your needs and not cost the earth. Do some more research on all the Vault ovens that are or have been built on the forum (our old forum also has a wealth of info woodovenukforum.forumup.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=43&mforum=woodovenukforum&sid=fbe18754b715949cac6458b7182c5614 )....you need to register to see all the pics. Shop around to find the best prices, but have a look at Liam's site www.kilnlinings.co.uk/ apart from refractory materials he has a kit (not his modular range) for building a Vault oven which a few members have bought.
