Morning, I'm new on here however having read the forum for some time am hoping your wisdom can help.
We have an oven in our garden that we absolutely love, it's only been part of the family for 4 months but it already feels like a ture friend. I've got a pergola over the top of the oven or rather in the area which we've retro fitted underneah all of the old wisteria and vines so it looks settled already. I want to put in 3-4 pieces of corrugated roof directly above the oven to make it a dry place to enjoy all year. With the rain this week you'll understand why...
My dilemma. I've sourced a longer flue so can punch this through the roof. No problem. The problem is and I hope I can explain this correctly is of course with the roof being on a slope(to be effective) I am going to have 2-3 corrugated 'grooves' that will adjoin the flue. This can be sealed if need be but I'm going to end up with a dam effect happening next to this? Make sense?
Was wondering if anybody had any smart solutions or if it's just something i'll have to get over and live with. Obvious worst case is I get water trickling down the outside of the flue and waterlogging where flue meets oven.
Hopefully I made sense & I hope to hear some wisdom. Cheers.
