Hi Kristian, I have seen very similar designs in Africa and China. It will all boil down to price and risk assessment. If its cheap enough, some people will buy it, definatley. My main concern is its metal and red hot. Most WFO don't get that hot on the outside. I would not want children anywhere near. Price, Looking at the BBQ market and having been involved in fabrication, I would see the RRP between £50 to £100. Product protection ? I can't see anything unique that can be protected by copyright or patent, makes you very vulnerable to a Chinese BBQ manufacture doing a copy very cheaply. But just my thoughts Good luck on your venture

I hadn't realised you had posted on this thread (I was writing at the same time) and already deleted the op before I saw your comment.
We have had a spate of spammers lately which normally I just delete but sometimes I edit. It takes up a lot of my time to do this so I take spammers or gung ho advertisers very seriously.
I had a long look at Kristians post and clicked on his website. I do try to help anybody out that I can even genuine people wishing start business in our little world or promote events etc for others.
I have an obligation to protect the forum from first time posters who come in feet first with commercial posts. The kickstarter website provider that he uses may be genuine, but as it's sole purpose is to generate donations from people who visit the site, I have seen the site being abused many times purely for financial gain. As a result of this I deleted the post and warned the member.
If he's genuine, I wish him all the best.......unfortunately I can't take the risk if he's not.

Muddy - I had the same thoughts. From what I can see, it's an oven-shaped rocket stove; very similar to what they use in Western Africa to burn twigs/hay.

Hi Terry, I agree with you 100%. I have a very simple test of these things, would I buy one ? After 10 seconds the answer was a resounding no, as I would not want anything that hot around my garden with people and children present. Also the bad manners of not contacting the forum moderator and asking. Especially when here he would have got a lot of genuine feedback. Hell, I am not infallible, I used to have a pile of Marconi shares...............
