Just thought of a new section - "Tools and Products" that would apply to any type of oven construction rather than, say, Pompeii specific construction. An example for tools might be a great saw for cutting bricks or a special deal for an angle-grinder at Aldi etc and an example for a product might be something like this www.source4me.co.uk/store/concreting/reinforcing-support/cat_65.html which I used and found very easy to use.

A section for sourcing materials would be a good thing to have to make it easier to find stuff like bricks and clay.

Paul....
This was very topical on the old forum as there were many no no's for expensive diamond blades...and quite a few recommends for other diamond blades.......go one step further Paul and click on the homepage and see where "tools etc" might fit in ..sorry for bullying you......but you volunteered.
Baronkev.......thanks for the input, we're taking all suggestions on board. This was part of the old forum...sourcing materials, and it should play it's role in this forum.

Terry Terry, personally, I would like to see Tools and Products under "Wood-Fired oven construction and design" as only here or under General would make sense. cheers ... Paul

Most sites have a Shoutbox these days so we can chat with whoever is online.

Proboards have a Chat Room facility but it's Java based and sucks badly. Would be more trouble than it's worth. I have a scripted Shoutbox in test but Proboards v5 is released later this year and has a good chat facility. If there is a demand and Terry likes it we can implement it. They are good for ad-hoc chats and building community social bonds.

there are way too many categories making the home page very long and hard to read and find things..
a shoutbox would be excellent!!
