....don't forget to include a dpc if you are building a brick base. If you're not sure on any stage of your build...just shout out. There's usually always a member willing to give advice.
If you need a quick response and get no immediate reply's, you can PM me.
All the best with your build....
Terry

Not confident with bricks so going down the hollow block route with filled cores

That's an easy way to build the structure mate. You can always add some brickwork to make it look fancy, with theconcrete blocks being the main structure.

lego for big boys laid......rebar rods in the holes........Arch formed al la Terry stylee need new legs back and buttocks ! Note to self: Next time you pour a slab base......make sure you have enough of the mix and dont end up with a slightly concave base cos by the time you get four courses of blocks up, the leaning in-ness get more pronounced and you lose an inch and half off each dimension - doh!

Looks like you're flying mate - good work. WOn't be long before you have the insulation and floor down and can start to work on the dome. That's when you know you're building an oven

Mighty fine work Sir.......
I don't think that's going to fall down in a hurry.
Terry
p.s....you may need to strut the middle of the longest side of your shuttering as the concrete could force these weak points outwards slightly. I say may.....as you may have already taken this into account as your build so far is very professional.
