Does anyone use a log holder in your oven and if so where did you get it from? I would like to try and get the heat to last a little longer and the log holder reviews seem to think it definately helps. Unfortunately im unable to find one in the uk just on the american FB website .... Log Holder

I'm not sure what benefit a log holder gives but you might consider a fire grate as an alternative, plenty available via the web and Ebay.

Tony I think they just make the log burn better as the flames get all around the log with it been raised I think that is the only benefit though maybe give you a higher temp faster can't really see it making it last longer though I suppose if it's fired faster it also die faster ?

i think one of the biggest advantages is to minimise the space required to keep the fire going and i suppose it ensures that the embers dont get anywhere near your pizza
Leetheldc thanks for the search will enquire about those and may even enquire with a ironmonger i know who may do one for free!!
