Tommorow the 1st of July is part of the Grillstock meet at Bristol.
Myself. Rivergirl, Marcus.....and a few others are meeting at Dr. Sweetsmokes display at 12 midday.
If you are anywhere in the region I would love to meet up with you.
....I'll be wearing a silly hat.

I missed it by a day last year and was unable to visit this year,
it looks a really amazing event and by the looks of things weather was on side :-)
can't wait to hear more.

Thanks for the photo's. It was great to meet up with you yesterday along with Rivergirl......even got to say hello to Dr.Sweetsmoke, but he was up to his elbows in rub most of the time.
It's a shame I couldn't hang around for all the fun......maybe next year.
How did your brother get on in the chillie eating contest (have been following you on twitter). I bet his mouth was red hot yesterday.......I bet something else is even hotter today.
Still on 2 minds wether to just sand and varnish that beautiful piece of walnut from Lesley......seems a shame to burn it.

I went on saturday and even with the regular bursts of rain it was a great day out with plenty of fantastic food on offer ( a lot of it free ) but unfortunatlyno WFO, there was one smoker with built in pizza stonewhich takes 20min to do a pizza so not really very good, I will keep my garden WFO . well back in England ( passing through from wales 0 then its back to france and I can get online proper !!!!! WOW brilliant day ,fantastic food and great meeting up with some of you !!! not exactly an imoulse purchase because i have been saving for a very long time for a new barbie and got one at the event....................... just hope that it does not sink the boat getting it across to our house !!!!!!
Might even enter the event next year ( especially if I could get a good partner ..... whistling and eyes left !!! marcus )
Terry don't worry that chunk will make quite a few planks and it would take a lifetime to burn through !!!!!!!!
Seeing the prices on them at the show am wondering how to cut them smoother to flog as rough cut planks. A few of the chefs are dead jealous of you two because that is their wood of choice for smouldering on .
Will get back to the forum properly tomorrow absolutely determined to crack the photo thing , plus when i tweak with recipes to write the amounts down as I can never get the same rub or barbie sauce twice !!!
Itchng to try my new toy i cannot wait to do bread on it , the only problem was that I did not get a how to book or dvd with it so its going to be a you tube search !!!!!!
Guess the good bye france barbie is going to be a humdinger and if I can master bread on it I won't have to worry about smoking my neighbours out with a new build BERT .......

will have a look later am having a time of it catching up with nearly a week of no internet !!!!!! at the moment hans has made the journey to france and is looking forward to his small boat trip to get to chez moi !!!! I will post pictures on my facebook tomorrow or Thursday am really looking forward to cooking on it and have got stunning fore rib of beef and beely pork to have a go with .
