Put top coat of render on at the weekend, I'm quite pleased with the look of it.

I'm loving the way that you've built this. Seeing the bits a professional cares about, and probably more importantly, the bits you don't stress has been a breath of fresh air for me. I've been sweating all aspects and to see you not caring about making sure every piece of mortar is perfect or every gap is filled during the build has been enlightening. It'll make my build much less stressful I hope.

Put it in at 10.30pm took it out about dinner time day after, took it out lit a strong fire put it back in to get some crackling

3.4nl lime. 5x2 mix. 2 lime 2 plastering sand 2 concreting sand 1 building sand + feb+ sbr.


Hi diggerjones what is this 3.4nl lime ? and concrete sand is this sharp sand ? from the south of england i see you used feb and sbr. did you need to use this as plastresizer? as the lime would of done this would it not. just picking your brains . cheers jagnut

It's just hydraulic line the numbers are the strength, 5 being the best,hardest. The concoction is just what I had. It is hard but has cracked
